Some Country Music

Some Southern Tradition

Merry Go 'Round by kacey Musgraves

Be ready to work, in small groups,
with these lyrics

If you ain't got two kids by 21
You're probably gonna die alone
At least that's what tradition told you
And it don't matter if you don't believe
Come Sunday morning you best be
There in the front row, like you're supposed to
Same hurt in every heart
Same trailer, different park

Mama's hooked on Mary Kay
Brother's hooked on Mary Jane
And Daddy's hooked on Mary two doors down
Mary, Mary, quite contrary
We get bored so we get married
And just like dust we settle in this town
On this broken merry go 'round
And 'round and 'round we go
Where it stops nobody knows
And it ain't slowing down
This merry go 'round

We think the first time's good enough
So we hold on to high school love
Say we won't end up like our parents
Tiny little boxes in a row
Ain't what you want it's what you know
Just happy in the shoes you're wearing
Same checks we're always cashing
To buy a little more distraction

Mama's hooked ...

Jack and Jill went up the hill
Jack burned out on booze and pills
And Mary had a little lamb
Mary just don't give a damn no more

Heroes

One of the most covered songs in pop history

Bowie wrote it in his "Berlin Period”
It is Bowie's second-most covered song.
Bowie's performance of "Heroes" on June 1987 at the German Reichstag in West Berlin was considered a catalyst to the eventual fall of the Berlin Wall.
The Wallflowers recorded a version of the song for the soundtrack to the film Godzilla. And also used for the end of the film The replacements.
This version peaked at top numbers on Modern Rock Tracks charts.
The song has become a mainstay of advertising for sporting promoters throughout the world.
In 2012 the track was played as athletes from Great Britain entered the Olympic Stadium during the Summer Olympics opening ceremony, and after medal ceremonies.
As you can see, it was also used as the Great Britain Paralympic team entered the stadium during the opening ceremony on 29 August 2012.

Get ready to work with a mixture of sport, fun, and,
of course, the song.
So, check on the lyrics!
